On the occasion of National Children’s Book Day

Sripanchami is considered as the day of Aksharambha. Many children start their alphabet or school or formal education on this day. The tradition of celebrating this day as “National Children’s Book Day” has increased in the country in recent times. Nebasas has also been doing some programs every year on the occasion of “National Children’s Book Day”.

On the occasion of “National Children’s Book Day” 2079, Nebasas organized a virtual interactive program on “Online Children’s Literature – Where and How”. In this program in collaboration with Navsarjak Sahitya Chautari, the representatives of Room to Read, The Asia Foundation and Edrad, respectively, Bipin Sodari, Samira Rajbhandari and Birendraraj Pokharel, where can you read children’s literature online? Manju Gyawali, Shanti Sapkota and Sushila Pradhanang, members of the Nebasas Working Committee of this event, which took place on Friday 13th of January 2079, recited children’s poetry, while Sajni Nauwage recited children’s stories. Among the participating children, Sakar Nepal, Anushka Gyawali, Prerak Gautam, Aanchal Adhikari, Joshika Kandel, Ruvikumari Gupta and others presented children’s compositions. Deepak Gautam, creator/patron of the innovative literature Chautari, and Prasanna Chaulagai, president of Chautari, gave speeches in the program.
